How much will you have to spend?  At Gourmet Decor Store they range from $59.99 to $4085.00 and everywhere in between.  See the fabulous one pictured here which is the $4085 one and is marked down from $6660.  It appears to be worth it as it seems to serve many purposes.  There is a stemware holder, a pot rack, numerous shelves, hooks for hanging items such as dish towels, a large shelf on top for large items and it looks as if doubles as a bar and a work station for any kitchen activities.  You have your choice of Copperstone or Travertine for the working shelf and the wrought iron comes finished in your choice of one of eleven great colors.  This one is made to order and requires some simple assembly according to the seller.

To keep within a very limited budget, buy a bakers rack at craigslist and paint/refinish it yourself.  Even the ones with wicker can be painted and of course the all wrought iron ones can.  Look for one in pine - pine furniture is usually inexpensive and it is easy to distress and stain.  Last time we checked there were several on our local craigslist ranging in price from $20 to $30.  One was a Pier One brand and another was more massive with a wooden shelf and heavy green wrought iron.  That is a lot of furniture for the price and they have so many uses.  Don't forget they are great used on patios and decks for outdoor tableware and linens.  An outdoor baker rack is a very versatile item to be placed along side the patio table or the barbecue.  Some are placed in bathrooms or guest bedrooms for towels and extra toiletry items, and of course dining rooms and kitchens everywhere have them.  Challenge yourself and find a used one you can make your own.  A bakers rack is an easy thing to do this with and once you learn how fun it can be to work things over yourself, you'll be on your way to decorating on a budget.
