Pottery Barn has this great little cutie which holds three hand woven chunky seagrass baskets in a pewter-finished iron frame.  Most kitchens have some wasted counter space where it could be placed to hold everything from cookbooks to fruits and vegetables.  The baskets are included and the frame is collapsible when not in use.  Perhaps it would work for holding items at an outside party or meal.  It is 37.5" tall and 18.5" square and retails for $149.

For a really large kitchen that has extra space and could use more storage this massive piece of furniture at Gourmet Kitchen Decor is the item. Sellers says shipping weight is 110 pounds so this is truly a piece of furniture.  It is made of wrought iron and says it has five durable shelves.  I guess at that weight they would be durable.  There are eleven finish options available and it retails for $2431.  Check it out - it is an amazing piece and the way they have it displayed is fantastic.

You can see that no matter what size or shape your kitchen is there is going to be an etagere for you.  They are so attractive and so practical.  As always if you are on a very limited budget, buy a used one on craigslist or eBay and work it over.
