Metal lamp shades are fabulous with southwest decor and come in so many different styles that you will have a hard time choosing your favorite one. You will want one in every room. Hartcrafters.com has a great selection of metal shades in several different finishes. Their finishes are called patina and torched, patina / gray & rust, patina / copper & torched and patina rust finish. They are all gorgeous and seller says they come in any size. The 5 x 14 x 10 lamp shade is $99 and the 7 x 17 x 11 is $139. Metal is a great material because it does not require any special care and will not break from light bulb heat as some others will. Some metal lamp shades can be purchased prewired to use as a hanging lamp instead of a table lamp. Direct From Mexico.com offers them prewired for an extra $15 over the regular price. They have a very large selection and it appears all of them can be prewired, so if you have a space which needs a hanging light instead of a lamp they are your site. Their prices on everything have always been very reasonable. We had to show one of our favorites from them here. It is an aged tin shade handcrafted in Mexico and decorated with amber glass and marbles. This shade is 10" x 13.75" and retails for $70.25 - and yes it can be prewired to hang. Also, seller says free shipping in Continental US. There is a great selection of rustic metal punched tin lamp shades at Mission Del Rey.com. Choose from several southwest patterns including this one featuring a cactus and gecko. The one we have shown is 9.5" at the bottom, 7.5" tall and 3.75" at the top. The regular price is $89.95 and at the time of this writing it is on sale. Some of the other punched designs available include a bronc, horse head and a longhorn. They have such detail and will be a wonderful addition to any home. Country Porch.com has a black metal southwestern lamp shade in a great star design which clips on to the light bulb of your lamp. Available in three sizes, from a six inch to a twelve inch, they are priced at $11.98 to $27.98. This is an unbelievably inexpensive way to add some southwest decor to your home. For another hand made metal shade go to Bitterroot Bit and Spur.com. The one they have features a cut out design at the top and bottom, comes in four sizes and ranges in price from $40 to $99. Be sure to visit this site as they have some other fabulous metal shades that we have not seen before. Most sites sell lamp shades only with their lamp - all the sites we have listed sell the shade by itself.
