Many different types of tables can be used in a southwestern home.  A pine table, metal table, oak table, copper table, wrought iron table, wicker table and even an abacca table.  Just decide what you like the best and start decorating.

Round coffee tables are some of our favorites and are preferred in Feng Shui.  While we don't really pracitce Feng Shui we do find it interesting to occasionally check out the items and styles we like against this Chinese art.

At  All Coffee Tables  there is a whole section of round coffee tables and quite a few of them will work with this decor.  They have a round abacca (made from Philippine banana plants) ottoman which could double as a coffee table, a two level wood and slate table with wrought iron legs and several tables with the clavos on the round edges.  None of these are particularly heavy so if you want to stay away from the heavier rustic furniture but employ the southwest decor, check these out.

Another favorite of ours is the use of copper and Direct From Mexico has a stunning round copper top coffee table which would be gorgeous in a red southwest living room.  It is 36" in diameter and with its forged iron curved leg base it also is not one of the heavy or massive coffee tables.  The same table comes in square and rectangular configurations so mix and match. They also have some unbelievable dining room table sets.

 San Carlos Imports has solid pine round coffee tables in a couple different styles.  A perfect pine table for someone who wants to build their own custom talavera or mosaic table as a centerpiece for their living room.  These appear to sturdy and massive enough to hold the tile and mortar required so design away.  Pine furniture is very popular in southwest decorating.

Back to saguaro and our do it yourself bent to add texture to your home.  We found this table on our local craigslist and see it as perfect for the same application as our custom etagere (right - and click for larger view).   Saguaro has so much texture and so many imperfections you can just staple it wherever you need to so attach it with a staple gun.  Yes, you will lose the shelving, but you will have a gorgeous table when you are done.  Have fun.
