Candle wall sconces are fabulous to decorate with - although as the author of this article I am not good with fire or flame so I only use fake candles everywhere you would normally use a candle.  But we do love them and there are fabulous choices out there, so many it will be hard to choose which one to buy.

 For an outrageous statement try this Medussa Candle Wall Holder. There is a plate for a candle behind the glass face and the fixture then flickers the shadows of the hair on the walls.  It is 14 inches in diameter and retails for $65 at Southwest and Beyond.  We think even when there is no candle lit this item will be a fabulous piece of metal wall art.  There are a lot of very unique sconces for candles at this site so check it out.

Thank goodness every time we research an item to decorate with, it comes in Kokopelli - we adore him.  A pair of these little candle wall sconces would be fabulous in a guest bath, hallway or entry.  It is approximately 12 inches tall and is plasma cut from 12-gauge cold rolled steel.  Seller says: "The finish is a brush-look which is heat induced to give a brilliance of coloration - golden brown, raspberry, blues, and violets."  We have seen other items made with this metal system and it is a lot of fun to decorate with.  Seller also says each piece is custom made and no two are exactly alike.  It holds a votive or pillar candle and retails for $69.00 at Sunland Home Decor.com.

Saladotex.com has several very interesting candle wall sconces which will work with any southwest or rustic decor.  They are heavy and very European or Mediterranean and will work with Spanish, French and Italian styled homes as well.  Some styles have mirrors, some have glass globes for the candles to sit in and still others are made entirely of scrolled forged iron. This rustic old world aged clay sconce is a wonderful look (you have to scroll down a little at the page shown).  It is handmade and seller says chips and color variations in the terra cotta are intentional.  It is also at Saladotex.com and retails for $145.  At 25 inches high and 7 inches deep and it will make a real statement. 

 This set of spur candle wall sconces is only $35 at Cabin Fever Gifts.com and would of course be great with western, southwestern, rustic or cabin decor.  They are 12 inches high, 5 inches wide and five inches deep.  There really is a lot of detail on them.  The barn wood cowboy bedroom we decorated would show them off fabulously.  To find barn wood search your local craigslist.
